As of 1 January 2007 the fees for Schengen visas will increase to 60 Euros. Visas will be issued free of charge to children under the age of six, to pupils, students, postgraduate students and their teachers on study trips and to scientists who travel for research purposes according to the recommendation 2005/761/EG dated 28 September 2005. For citizens of Russia and Ukraine the previous visa fee of 35 Euros will continue to apply. For citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro and Serbia the previous fee remains in force during a translation period until 31 December 2007.
